Birthdays, outings, prayer meetings, retreat… even wakes, there's a drink that you would usually see and that's Zesto. Aside from carrying it with ease, all of its flavors taste good. And it's cheap too. That's why you can ask any Pinoy, wherever in the world he may be, on "What Zesto flavor do you like?", surely he'll have an answer depending on the flavor that his taste buds are craving.

Actually, Zesto has been in the country for so long. I still remember when I was young and I was so addicted to drinking Zesto. My only problem was on how I would insert the straw on its designated hole. And since I was a kid, I had a hard time on doing this task thus I just insert the straw on the bottom side of the tetra pack…

This is the scene: you're in the living room and you're watching your favorite Daisy Siete at 2om at GMA7 when suddenly the sun goes haywire and the clouds disappear and you feel like all the sun's rays are focused on your rooftop. You can't think of anything but to dip in the water in your bathroom. Thus, you stand up from where you're sitting and take a bath for almost an hour. You use up all the water in your bucket. You nearly drain the water from your faucet. And when you go out, your sweat drips like hell…

Damn! It's so hot in the Philippines!!!

A big hacienda with many places to go and many things to do… that's Villa / Hacienda Escudero. This is one of the most popular spots in Quezon (it's at the border as you enter the province) and it's usually visited by tourists. If you haven't been here, let this review serve as a "mini-tour" (with no pictures) for places found in that place (where I was in recently that is why I wrote this post).

Villa Escudero's activities can be divided into seven. There's the main lobby welcome from the crew, the museum tour, the carabao cart ride, rafting, dining and bathing at the artificial waterfalls, the cultural show and swimming at the pools. Let's review each activity in this very beautiful place.

Blaze of Glory: Pacquiao vs. Solis

Our national hero / future Philippine president Cong. Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao has won again!

Manny showed the power of his punches On the eighth round and destroyed the Mexican. This is the proof of Pacman's strength and his new nickname "Mexicutioner".

Even at the start of the media coverage, I had doubts that Solis would win. It's like Pacquiao is very strong. He's like a "Super Saiyan" with the power of the "Dempsey Roll". This is the reason why I didn't buy moviehouse tickets to watch the fight with no commercial breaks (I usually watch high profile matches of Pacquiao in moviehouses).

I usually eat at Cubao's "Dimsim 'N Dumplings" restaurant. Their "Siomai-all-u-want" promo with one bowl of Yang Chow Friend Rice and refillable Pork Siomai is delicious. Then, you'll top it off with a very yummy Strawberry Chill Tea. Wow… the flavor is orgasmic!

I learned this drink from my Honey. It was her who was so addicted to it from way before and when she made me try some, I immediately said "Oh, it's really good!". That is why up until now, I keep craving for the one-of-a-kind taste of this special tea.

The sun gives life on Earth. It gives nutrients to plants, balances hot and cold, allows evaporation for evaporated milk and brings skin cancer when you're too exposed to it. The sun is so important that in the old days, our ancestors were revering it.

But what if we experience the deterioration of the sun's heat? What will we do?

Is "Eye to Eye" with Inday Badiday the last TV show you watched since when you had the Internet, you're itching to type?

Why don't we combine Internet and TV?

Five days. Five days with no work. Five days wherein the world respects the sacrifice made by our Lord. Five days wherein people get to do what they always want to. Five days wherein I wasn't able to do any reviews! Waah!!!

A lot of people were joyous since workers had a five day vacation during the Holy Week. And since they're all wasted from working, many of them would really want rest and do what they wish for five days. Actually, that five days was set aside to commemorate the hardships of Jesus and His eternal love for mankind by sacrificing His own life so that we would all be saved.

Yes, I know many prayed and thanked Him during those five days. But we're all Pinoys and we have ingenious ways to spend our vacation!

"Vandalism" is strictly prohibited here in Manila. If you would notice, a lot of fraternities are leaving their graffiti along walls in streets, houses and alleys. It's really ugly. So the MMDA thought of making their own "art" to cover the spraypaint vandals and to make the walls look better.

But its not OK. The MMDA art is also ugly!!! Waahhh!!!

So what is in calamansi??

“Flos Carmeli? Where’s that?”

That’s what I usually hear whenever I’m asked where I finished elementary and high school. Well, I can’t help it if Flos Carmeli Institution of Quezon City (FCIQC) is not popular since:

    * it’s in a far place - West Fa(i)rview, QC
    * it has no connections with popular schools
    * it has no “blockbuster” student which proudly declares his FCIQC roots

Gulaman is a long staple food here in the Philippines. You would usually see this sold in street corners. It's a delicious drink especially when you're really thirsty (or if you just came from a game of basketball). And it didn't take long for one to think of a way to bottle this drink and sell them in supermarkets.

This is where I discovered Joy Black Gulaman.

I'm not a Kobe Bryant fan. Actually, I don't like him as a player. Yes, I admit that he was great even from long ago. But it is only this year when I truly admired his greatness.

My former classmate (who's now a famous actor) gave me some Playboy and Hustler from his elder brother's collection (who's also a famous actor). That was the time when I saw the light and the first time I… you know…

But if it's movies, I was only able to watch them when I was in seond year high school. And it is this film, Pretty Peaches 2, that taught me the meaning of taking off clothes and getting on top.

Small, cheap, and delicious… that's the ensaymada of Megamelt. It's exactly made for snack time, especially if you're on a trip or waiting for a taxi along the sides of SM Makati!

I was able to eat Megamelt ensaymada recently and I found out that it's really delicious. Unlike normal ensaymadas you could get from bakeries, the ensaymadas from Megamelt are full of cheese on top of the bread. Simply biting the food is excellent due to the cheese (they might be using Eden cheese), the soft dough even at nighttime, and the many variants of their bread.

Appliances that come to life. Appliance that walk in the jungle. Appliance that fight with other appliances. Man! If this happens in real life, I would've run in terror!

This is the story of "The Brave Little Toaster": appliances with their own lives and have this single goal of being played again by their "Master". Oh, you're having a dirty mind again! Played… it's because when their master was just a kid, everyone one of them was being fingered and being played in areas where they want to be touched…

It was only recently that I was able to eat a Yellow Cab pizza. Almost two years have passed since I first took a bite. It is only now that I am able to fathom that this pizza really tastes good!

Just like many Filipinos, I am very much familiar with pizzas from Shakey's, Pizza Hut, Greenwich and 3Ms. Many of us considered Yellow Can as "elite" and among the lines of "Kenny Roger's Roasters" (which was also dubbed before as "elite"). The first time I ate at Yellow Cab, I couldn't make up my mind on how to eat a single slice since it was really big (and I was shy to eat it with my bare hands since I was dining with people from ABS-CBN who are a bit elite).

Yes, I know films shown on IMAX in Mall of Asia are great but if it's excellence you want, you'll have nothing of it from films like T-Rex and Nascar!

I was able to watch these two films on IMAX; with T-Rex just this Saturday. I thought I'd be happy since it'll feature dinosaurs but I was had. The film sucks. Only a few scenes have good 3D effects. Damn. Ugly.

Psycho music! Yup, this is what I realized when I heard the album of Giniling Festival. They are a band which is currently gaining recognition within the Pinoy music scene. And based on their album, they have a very strong chance to become popular.

Giniling Festival's type of music is more on heavy metal. Their sound can be compared to another Pinoy band, Kiko Machine. Even the lyric style looks the same. Although, the sound of Giniling Festival has more strength. It's a lot like Kamikazee during their early gig days.
